Preparation for Design

As a business or organization you need a website. Here is a guide to help you organize what you need for your website to be completed.

Primary Objective

What is the point of your website? Is it a place for people to learn more about your business prior to calling or visiting you? Are you trying to build or establish credibility?

Design

Overall look and feel. Have you seen other sites that you would like yours to emulate? Are there are any designs you want to avoid?
What colors do you prefer? Does your business have designated colors associated with its brand?
Do you have pictures you want on the site? Pictures of your building, the inside, your staff, your products or your services?
Do you have any vendor supplied photos or graphics you are authorized to use.

Content

A catch phrase to describe your business.
A mission statement or paragraph description of your business.
Please provide the following if available: (Brochures, Flyers, Presentations, Business Cards / Resumes - Names and positions of people to be featured on website, Customer Testimonials)
Frequently asked questions and answers.
Address and Phone number (fax etc.)
All product descriptions.
All services descriptions.
Articles or news releases.

How often will content be updated?

Search Engine Info

What search terms do you expect your customers will use to find you?
What organizations, companies, or sites can we ask to link to your site?
Are there any websites that your customers would find valuable that you would endorse?

Website

Do you have a domain name picked out?
Would you like us to host the site?

Marketing

Off-line promotion.
Addition to a "WCR Exclusive" if appropriate?
Feedback and analysis through data collection.
-frequency and mode (weekly/email)

Disclosures

Hosting Rental/Domain Rental.
Design by WCR - listed on all pages.
Copyrights assumed.

Timing and Payment

All materials and payment prior to start of project.
Two to four weeks of development and changes.
Hourly rate of $40/hr after development time.
